Word and Prayers for Caitlin

The first member of our mission team will depart in only 9 days for the Philippines.  She is experiencing some health problems but is standing strong in her faith and knows that God is on her side.  As I think of her and pray for her I ask that you will claim this scripture for Caitlin!

Romans 8:31-32

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

Glory to God

Often when I speak of the mission work my family is involved in and surrounded by, people respond by saying things like they could never go, they could never leave their family, I admire you for going...oh I just don't think I could........

NEWS FLASH:

They can't!  You can't!  I can't!

But I am thankful that God CAN!  Whoever, whenever and wherever he chooses, He CAN!

If we don't get out of the way, we could be used for nothing!  I am guilty of being a planner and thinking I want to know God's plan.  But I don't want to know until the time is right.  If I knew I would be a big chicken, I would think goofy thoughts like "I can't"!  Without Christ I am simply wandering, lost without the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit. 

Romans 12:1-2

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

 
Yesterday during worship these words grabbed me and convicted me of uplifting myself, even if only in my own mind and heart.  

Take my life and let it be
All for you and for your glory
Take my life and let it be yours!

So with God's mercy and grace, today I am dwelling on this scripture.

26 Days

In 26 days the first member of our summer mission team will begin her journey 1/2 way around the world to the Philippines.  Caitlin began praying about the Philippines about 8 years ago and through God's divine timing will be going for the first time this June.  If you haven't started praying already - do it today.  She covets your prayers greatly.

Caitlin will begin building and continuing relationships that Wesley Home has with the local schools so that when the team arrives we will go into the schools.  We plan to give Bibles donated by the Gideons and to share the gospel of Christ.  She will also spend time with the children already in Wesley Home and begin to determine who will soon join Wesley Home.  Caitlin will share new music with the kids at WHY, tutor them and give them lots of love!

It is truly an exciting time to be part of The Rescue Ministries! 

We need your help to continue the support of these orphaned and abandoned children.  It is not possible for us to continue supporting the current fourteen children or rescue and support more children without the financial means to properly care for them.  We are searching for committed sponsors - $10/month, $100/month, $10,000/month; every dollar counts!  Donations are never too small and never too big.
