Word

This is officially the 100th post of Offer Them Christ.  It is a big deal in the blogosphere.  But instead of excited, I'm feeling beaten down.

I am truly craving more time with God, I am craving His word and worship.  I feel that the little I get is just not enough.  I feel empty, like I am a hamster in a wheel going as fast as can -- but going nowhere.  The ravenous wolves of this world are nipping at my heels and I am constantly only just ahead of them.

But I found comfort in these words....They remind me of the strength of my God, but the warmth; the power but also the kindness in His voice.

Psalm 46
1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. Selah
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.
5 God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.
6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts.
7 The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah
8 Come and see the works of the LORD, the desolations he has brought on the earth.
9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear, he burns the shields with fire.
10 "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." 11 The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah

So often we take great offense to people like Mr. Hawking, to negative things in the news, tragedy in our country and around the world.  But oh, how He loves.  He is here to protect, to provide, to strengthen, to comfort, to love us.  We just have to reach out to His hand, the hand of Jesus.

On this the 100th post, I would like to say thanks for reading, for wanting to be updated about life in the Philippines and life in general.

VERY thankful, Sheryl
