Sponsors

Today we are taking a break in the introducing/re-introducing the kids at WHY for a reality check.....

Does it scare you to commit a portion of your income to someone half a world away?

Whether $10 or $1,000 sometimes it is challenging to trust others to do as they say they will do with money we give.  What if the pictures are staged, what if stories are wild concocted notions of some creative mind, what if, what if.....  Remember if you are giving from your heart God knows, you are entrusting Him with your givings.

These are real children from real streets and dumpsites with real scars on their hearts, lives truly torn.

ONLY because God is bringing us sponsors these children are now being given an opportunity to know the God of love, not some scary looking, fancy dressed baby doll with a grimace on his fake face.  We need more committed sponsors!  I hope you will consider them, each individual life.  GET INVOLVED!  Pray, give, get to know them.

Luke 12:6 - 9
Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. "I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God. But he who disowns me before men will be disowned before the angels of God.

And just for fun - a few examples of $30/month

Sheryl,
This is an incredible post. I will talk to Jonathan about pledging to give money every month. I love those children already just from your posts. Our sermon yesterday was about how to use our finances to the glory of God. Here is my application. I love how God works out neat stuff like this. I'm really hoping to meet some of the children next summer. The work you're doing is incredible and I can only imagine the smile it brings to our Father's face.
