Think, Say, Do - Part 1

It seems that ministry work brings out the best and worst in people.  Whether it is those that run the ministry, work in the ministry, support the ministry financially and prayerfully really makes no difference.

We are human.

When things are new, exciting and results can be easily measured; most of us are thinking about our ministry often, talking about it with our friends and family and getting our hands dirty with loving on and working in our ministry.

But. sigh

When things get tough, the ministry is a couple of years old, other things have come along, support is down, work is harder, laborers are few.  We want to quit.

Satan entices us with new and exciting things.  Ministry or not.  Things that are more fun, easier, our friends are working there.....we would still be working for the Lord after all.....

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Galatians 6:9

If there is a reason to start the ministry, there is a reason to continue the ministry.  People need hope, they need to see God's love and they need to see His grace through us.  If they see us give up as Christians, why wouldn't they give up on their own lives, their own negative situation, their own hope?

We must stay the course.  No. Matter. What.

More thoughts to come....

Thankful, Sheryl
