God Bless America

Ok, so I'm not really a patriotic person. Although I know the words to America the Beautiful that doesn't really count it just means I can remember lyrics pretty well. I don't purposely disrespect veterans or the American flag, but I don't worship them either. Don't get me wrong I love the freedoms of this country, I love that God allowed me to be born into a free family that attended a Christian church and am very thankful for the men and women who fought for those freedoms.

But I am more thankful for the God who created this country. The leaders of our country change and the values of our country continue to degrade and erode but God remains the same. He is the one I worship and am most thankful for the freedom HE provides. The soil I put my feet on may change, but my God will never change.

So today I say God bless America, and may God bless the Philippines, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras, Malta, Africa, Sri Lanka, China, India, and all other nations. He loves us all the same!

Building WHY

Because we are at full capacity for the current Wesley Home for Youth we are stepping out in faith and beginning our Building Campaign.

A generous donor has provided land on Camotes Island very near to Cebu, Philippines. Praise God that he is knocking down walls and making a clear path for us to provide for more children.

Step 1 - $6,000
Clear land and add fencing as a safety feature.

Step 2 - $70,000
The second step will include building a community church, evangelism on Camotes Island and begin a feeding project in the community.

Step 3—$120,000
The third phase will consist of building a Boy’s Dorm (to house 50) and Girl’s Dorm (to house 50).

Step 4—$35,000
The next phase of construction will be to add a Staff House. The staff will live in dorms until housing is complete.

Step 5—$120,000
The fifth step of the process will be to add a community school. We plan to include activity areas such as a basketball court.

Step 6—$60,000
During this phase we plan to add an Administration Building.

Step 7—$120,000
At this point we hope to be ready to add another Boy’s Dorm and Girl’s Dorm, each housing 50 students.

Step 8—$30,000
During the final phase we plan to add a playground area and other extra necessities that we run into along the way.
